Inclusive Excellence Initiative

Explore ReNUWIt’s Inclusive Excellence Initiative, our web-based resource with actionable tips that will help you foster more inclusive research groups, classrooms, and peer-to-peer interactions.

Graduate Admissions Reform

Read or download Evidence-Based Practices for Systematic Holistic Review in Graduate Engineering Admissions, a report researched and prepared by ReNUWIt’s SPCDI Admissions working group.

The report was highlighted in ASEE (American Society for Engineering Education) Prism magazine in Feb 2021. You can read it from here.

Application Preparation Guides

ReNUWIt graduate students created how-to guides for students interested in applying to graduate school and the National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP).

Featured Partner: AccessERC

AccessERC promotes the engagement of people with disabilities in NSF-funded Engineering Research Centers (ERCs) and the development of more inclusive offerings. ReNUWIt attended the 2016 and 2017 AccessERC Capacity Building Institutes, modified our website to be more accessible, and advertises summer opportunities through Access ERC's database.

Watch this AccessERC video, including members of the ReNUWIt Diversity Team, to learn more about engaging individuals with disabilities into research programs.
