REU Program Summary
ReNUWIt's Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program ran from 2012 through 2020, with a modified program in 2021. It was supported by ReNUWIt base funding and NSF awards EEC-1262655 and EEC-1559984.
The program engaged undergraduates from colleges and universities across the US. We invite you to use the interactive dashboard below to learn more about where our REUs came from and where some of them went on to graduate school.
9/8/21: Thank you for your interest in the ReNUWIt REU Program. We will not be running an REU during Summer 2022. Please visit the NSF REU Program website to search for an active program!
ReNUWIt’s Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program engaged undergraduate students in ReNUWIt faculty’s research labs, under the mentorship of ReNUWIt post-docs and graduate students. Participants learned laboratory/field techniques, were immersed in ReNUWIt’s collaborative and interdisciplinary culture, and conducted meaningful research in state-of-the-art facilities. REU participants also interacted directly with ReNUWIt faculty and peers, received professional development training, and experienced ReNUWIt’s systems-level approach to addressing the nation’s water issues. Additional program requirements included meetings, oral presentations, a short written report, and summary slides and/or posters.
